Sindh Home Minister participated as a chief guest in the passing out ceremony of the third batch of 522 SSU Commandos at the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Elite Police Training Center (SBBEPTC) in Razzaqabad today.
IGP Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon, DIG Training Faizullah Korejo and Principal Academy Eram Awan welcomed the home minister. A guard of honor was also presented to the minister by the police.
Addressing the ceremony, he congratulated the successful officers and jawans of the third batch of the four-semester commando course and said that he hoped they would perform their duties with impartiality and dedication. He also appreciated the display presented by the passing out commandos and the target shooting and emergency response training demonstrations by the young men during the firing range visit.
Speaking on the occasion, the home minister said that the standard of training of Sindh Police was evident from the fact that its young men were always ready to face any emergency. He also commended the formation of a special team of motorcyclists for practical training and target practice to prevent street crime and criminal activity.
He expressed pride over the overall performance of Sindh Police against crime and added that they would not only eliminate crime but its patrons and facilitators would also be brought to justice.
Later, the Sindh Home Minister also inaugurated the Mess Hall and Shooting House at the Razzaqabad Police Training Center. IGP Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon thanked the Home minister for joining the passing out ceremony despite his busy schedule.
He congratulated all the passing out commandos on completing their one-year training and expressed the hope that they would perform their duties better and meet the expectations of the people.
The IGP said that the war against terrorism was very important, and RRF and SSU were such units that had responded effectively in time. He said that they were grateful to the Sindh government for providing the necessary budget for those two units.
At the end of the ceremony, during the media talk, the Home Minister Sindh said that a committee of senior officers had been formed regarding the Shaheed Jan Muhammad Mahar case, and Sindh Police were also very concerned about this matter.
The culprits of Jan Muhammad Mahar would be arrested soon, he said and added that wrong things were being spread on social media, and the video of dacoits was being made viral. He said that the job of the media is to show the truth. The Sindh government and Sindh Police were taking action against the dacoits of Kachho areas.
