LARKANA: Larkana Awami Ittehad (LAI), an anti-PPP alliance, resolved on Wednesday to contest all seats of local bodies seats in the upcoming polls.
In this connection, an important meeting was held at Kot Durab under the chairmanship of former Senator Dr. Safdar Ali Abbasi which was participated by PTI’s senior vice president Sardar Ameer Buksh Bhutto, MPA Moazim Ali Abbasi, JUI-F’s Nasir Mahmood Soomro, Sardar Zafar Ali Sangi, Adil Altaf Unar, Muhammad Ali Hakro and other leaders.
They unanimously decided to contest the upcoming LB polls in Larkana district saying ‘every seat will be contested by their candidates to give a tough time to what they called Zardari League’. It must be mentioned here that LAI has gained popularity in the recent past because of the failure of the ruling party to resolve core issues of the residents including lawlessness, uplift schemes on pick and choose basis, contaminated water supply, very poor healthcare system, awarding party tickets to near and dear ones by ignoring old staunch workers and other core issues.
