KARACHI:Administrator Karachi Dr. Syed Saifur Rahman has said that the armed forces of Pakistan have made incredible sacrifices for the defense of the country. We do not forget our martyrs, KMC salutes the martyrs of the Pakistan Army on behalf of the citizens of Karachi and express their determination that they will continue to play their part for the upliftment and development of the nation.
He said this while addressing the Takreem-e-Shuhada-e-Pakistan Ceremony held at City Warden Headquarters Gulshan-e-Iqbal. Those who were present on this occasion include Mirza Alam Baig, Director City Warden Raja Rustam, Senior Director Public Relations and Media Management Ali Hassan Sajid, director sports KMC Aftab Qaimkhani and other officers, earlier, Administrator Karachi Dr. Syed Saifur Rahman inaugurated the martyrs’ memorial established to show solidarity with the soldiers of the armed forces at the City Warden Headquarters and hoisted the national flag.
On this occasion, under the leadership of Administrator Karachi Dr. Syed Saifur Rahman, a rally was also taken out from the City Warden Headquarters to pay tribute to the martyrs of Pakistan, in which various officers, citizens and city wardens participated. Addressing the ceremony, Administrator Karachi said that Pakistan Martyrs Day is being celebrated today in the whole of Pakistan. The purpose of celebrating this day is to make people believe that the geographical borders of Pakistan are safe because of the martyrs who gave their blood for the sake of Pakistan.
“We are proud of our armed forces and every Pakistani is proud of its army, they are the crown of our head, because of them there is peace in Pakistan today and Pakistan is an independent and free country. All the officers and officials of KMC and every individual of Karachi is with the Pakistan Army and God willing, Pakistan will continue to develop in the same way in the future”.
He said whenever a hard time came to the country, the Pakistani nation found its armed forces ready to deal with it. Acknowledging the sacrifices of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives and honoring them, Administrator Karachi said that the Pakistani army has served the nation equally during war and in peace time and has set great example of national service in every field. Our martyrs will always live in our hearts.
