Keti Bandar, Karo Chhan Coastal Areas Lack Drinking Water: Sassui

Former Provincial Minister Senator Sassui Palijo has stated that under Article 25 of the Constitution, every citizen of Pakistan should have the right to equality. However, despite the scarcity of agriculture and drinking water in Sindh, dreams are being dreamed. She has raised questions about the unequal distribution of Sindh’s resources.

Sassui mentioned that in the coastal areas of Keti Bandar and Karo Chhan, located on the Indus River Delta, citizens do not have access to drinking water, let alone agriculture. She expressed concern that instead of developing Sindh’s economy, plans to build canals that are detrimental to Sindh are under consideration.

The ex-minister questioned why Sindh, despite producing over 70% of the country’s natural resources, is deprived of these resources itself. She stated that the federal government and institutions should not mistake Sindh’s peaceful nature for weakness, and the people of Sindh cannot remain silent any longer.

She asked the rulers why a province that bears the burden of the entire country is being continuously pushed into poverty, hunger, and deprivation. She demanded the restoration of Sindh’s rights.
