Islamabad:Minister of State for Finance, Bilal Azhar Kayani, chaired a meeting to assess the implementation of a simplified tax scheme for shopkeepers.
According to Radio Pakistan, during the meeting, Kayani instructed FBR officials to inform shopkeepers about the new tax scheme as part of the mapping process. He emphasized that shopkeepers should take advantage of the additional 15 days granted for filing tax returns.
Kayani warned that missing the extended deadline for tax return submissions would result in penalties. Shopkeepers would face fines of 10,000 rupees for the first month, 25,000 rupees for the second month, and 50,000 rupees for the third month.
