Kashmiris in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan, and around the world are preparing to commemorate Black Day on October 27, Sunday.

According to a Kashmir Media Service report on Friday, this day serves as a reminder of India’s military takeover of Jammu and Kashmir in 1947, which went against the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. Various protests, rallies, and seminars will be held at different locations to voice opposition to the revocation of the special status of occupied Kashmir on August 5, 2019.

This protest is being organized by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, with support from other freedom-loving organizations. Hurriyat leaders are urging the Kashmiri people to mark this day and convey to the world that they will continue their struggle for freedom from Indian domination. The international community is also being urged to play a role in safeguarding the rights of Kashmiris.
