A meeting of the US-based Kashmiri diaspora was held here to discuss organizing a peaceful protests in the United States on August 5, 2024, marking the anniversary of the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35-A by the Indian government in 2019.

According to a Kashmir Media Service report on Monday, the decision was widely condemned by the global Kashmiri diaspora and the United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres.

The protest aims to counter India’s propaganda machinery, which claims that everything is normal in occupied Kashmir, and to rally support for the Kashmiri freedom movement. Despite India’s belligerent attitude and malicious propaganda, the movement will continue to fight for freedom with determination and strategy.
