Karachi-Quetta main highway was blocked by protesters on Saturday near Wadh area of district Khuzdar, causing long queues of vehicles on both sides of the highway.
According to detail, Karachi-Quetta highway was blocked by protesters near Wadh area of district Khuzdar against the kidnapping of two men namely Councillor Sultan Raisani and Jamal Mengal. Long queues of vehicles moving between Quetta and Karachi were seen stuck.
Protestor said that Councillor Sultan Raisani and Jamal Mengal had been kidnapped by unidentified armed men the previous night, but district administration Khuzdar was taking no action for the recovery of abductees, adding that Quetta-Karachi highway would remain blocked till the safe recovery of Councillor Sultan Raisani and Jamal Mengal. Quetta-Karachi highway remained blocked till filing this report.
Separately, unidentified miscreants set ablaze the construction machinery of a contractor in Nailnut area of Gwadar in Balochistan province on Saturday. According to reports, construction machinery of a contractor namely Khair Muhammad Kalanchi, including Loader and dumpers, were burnt in Nailnut area of Gwadar.
