Minister for National Health Services Mustafa Kamal on Thursday assured that efforts will be made to improve the healthcare sector to better serve underprivileged patients.

Speaking at PIMS, he emphasized the introduction of innovations like telemedicine to alleviate pressure on hospitals.

Kamal highlighted the ongoing work towards a “one patient, one identity” system, which aims to unify patient records nationwide rather than tying them to individual hospitals.

He mentioned that the Prime Minister will soon inaugurate several projects at PIMS, including seven newly established operation theaters.
