JWP leaders announces protest on Feb 15 against ‘rigged election’

QUETTA: Jamhori Watan Party (JWP) chairman Nawabzada Gohram Bughti and other party leaders said on Tuesday that they had proof that the JWP mandate had been stolen.

Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club with other party leaders, they said that JWP was going to record its protest on February 15, 2024 against the ‘rigged election’ in Dera Bughti by closing main highway of the province.

They said that if people were having no “say” in the political process of the country, some other method would be devised for participation in political process of the country, adding that someone’s will was being imposed in Balochistan.

They said that polling process in different polling stations of district Dera Bughti was deliberately delayed, barring voters of JWP to cast their votes, adding that ‘rigged election’ in district Dera Bughti was not acceptable to JWP.
