Javed Alam Odho takes charge as new Sindh police chief

Javed Alam Odho formally took charge as the Inspector General of Police Sindh on Thursday morning, marking a significant leadership change in the provincial law enforcement agency.

Mr. Odho is the 86th individual to hold the top post in the Sindh Police.

His appointment was made through a notification previously issued by the federal government.

Upon his arrival at the Central Police Office (CPO) in Karachi, the new IG was presented with a guard of honor by a smartly turned-out contingent of police.

Following the formal reception, Inspector General Odho visited the police martyrs’ memorial, where he laid a floral wreath and offered Fateha for the martyred officers.

He paid tribute to the great sacrifices of the force’s martyrs and prayed for the elevation of their ranks.

The day’s official business concluded with a meeting between the new police chief and senior officers at the CPO.
