Islamabad: Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal has invited Samsung to transform Pakistan into a regional manufacturing, refurbishment, and export hub for mobile phones.
According to Radio Pakistan, during a meeting with a delegation led by the Country Head of Samsung Pakistan in Islamabad, Jam Kamal assured the company of the government's support in promoting exports, value addition, and industrial investment. He emphasized the potential for growth and development in Pakistan's mobile phone manufacturing sector.
Jam Kamal expressed his appreciation for Samsung's proposal to establish certified mobile phone refurbishment facilities in the country. The initiative is seen as a significant step toward enhancing local assembly and creating a robust ecosystem for mobile manufacturing in Pakistan.
The Samsung delegation provided the Minister with a briefing on the progress of Pakistan's mobile phone manufacturing sector, highlighting the company's current investment in local assembly.
