Federal Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, visited Tashkent Pharma Park to explore opportunities for bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Uzbekistan in the pharmaceutical sector. The visit aimed to strengthen ties in research, production, and trade between the two countries.
According to a report on Saturday, the minister was accompanied by Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov. He toured various departments of the facility, gaining insights into its advanced infrastructure and research capabilities.
During the visit, Khan highlighted the importance of enhancing collaboration in healthcare and pharmaceuticals to facilitate mutual growth and innovation. He also reviewed the park’s warehouse facility, assessing its storage and logistics capabilities for potential partnerships.
The minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to expanding trade and investment ties with Uzbekistan, emphasizing that joint initiatives in the pharmaceutical sector could boost economic cooperation and benefit both countries.
