KARACHI:Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab said Friday that parks equipped with modern facilities not only become the center of public attention but also add to the beauty of the areas. It is our priority that we take great measures to provide a healthy, clean and spacious environment to our future generation.

The mission is to establish a green revolution in the entire city through plantations. He expressed these views along with Deputy Commissioner South Manzoor Ahmed Kunrani and Transition Officer South and Town Municipal Commissioner Saddar Akhtar Ali Sheikh during the inspection of various parks of Saddar Town and the green belts around Do-Talwar Clifton.

On the occasion of the inspection, the Director of Parks Asim Ali Khan and police officers were also with him. Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab has said that the existence of a healthy environment is important for the formation of a better nation. Flowers and plants are an essential part of the beauty of the earth and also for human survival. On this occasion, Transition Officer South Akhtar Ali Sheikh while briefing the Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab said that according to the available resources and integrated policy, the public will be provided with a healthy and pleasant environment.

Under the beautification plan in Lyari and Saddar zones, various highways, parks, intersections and green belts are being redecorated, and flowers and greenery are being planted, apart from this, plantations are going on at various places across the district under the Green South campaign. Taking this trend further, the process of distributing free saplings of plants to the citizens will also be started soon, he concluded.
