Millat-e-Jafariya Pakistan leader Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi condemned the ongoing violence in Gaza and the West Bank, calling it a blatant violation of international principles. He criticized the silence of the United Nations and the international community in the face of these human rights violations.

Naqvi also cited India’s actions in South Asia as another example of human rights abuses being overlooked. He proposed changes to the current global democratic system, terming it fundamentally capitalist.

He lamented that the basic principle of democracy – government of the people, by the people, for the people – is largely theoretical in Pakistan and other countries. He stated that elections in Pakistan are routinely made controversial, with the democratic process often serving vested interests rather than protecting fundamental rights and freedom of expression.

Naqvi noted that the International Day of Democracy, established in 2008, aims to strengthen democracy globally and promote democratic progress within countries. He questioned whether concrete steps would be taken to achieve these goals.
