ISF leader demands probe into alleged illegal appointments

QUETTA: Umair Khan Chilgari, former President, Insaf Student Federation (ISF), Balochistan, on Monday demanded of the authorities to investigate as to how former Governor Balochistan, Syed Zahoor Ahmed Agha increased the secret fund of Governor Balochistan to the tune of five crore rupees besides making illegal appointments in different universities of the province.

Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club here today, he said that former Governor Balochistan, Syed Zahoor Ahmed Agha enhanced secret fund of Governor Balochistan from 50 lac rupees to 5 crore rupees, adding that it must be investigated as to when and how Syed Zahoor Ahmed Agha utilized the secret fund of Governor Balochistan.

He said that Vice Chancellor, Women University, Quetta was transferred on September 02, 2021 by posting another Vice Chancellor against the vacant slot who accordingly appointed 69 persons against important positions of the university at the behest of Syed Zahoor Ahmed Agha, adding that near and dear officers were posted in different universities of the province by transferring Baloch officers.

He said it needed to be probed on what capacity the brother of Syed Zahoor Ahmed Agha would attend the meetings of Vice Chancellors. He demanded of the authorities to investigate as to how former Governor Balochistan, Syed Zahoor Ahmed Agha increased the secret fund of Governor Balochistan to the tune of 5 crore rupees besides making illegal appointments in different universities of the province.
