ISA organizes Quiz Show in connection with 78th Independence Day

The Information Service Academy (ISA) of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting organized a Quiz Show on August 8, 2024 in collaboration with the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) to celebrate the 78th Independence Day of Pakistan at the Information Service Academy.

According to a statement issued here on Friday, the event marked the beginning of number of activities which were being planned by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to celebrate this year’s Independence Day in a befitting manner.

The Executive Director General, ISA Muhammad Arshad Munir was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The event was attended by senior officers of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, ISA faculty, staff, teachers, students and large number of people.

The twelve participants of the Independence Day Quiz Show included the intermediate level students of Islamabad model colleges which were functioning under the administrative control of the FDE.

A total of six teams of students consisting of three girls’ and three boys’ teams participated in the qualifying round. Only three teams made it to the final round.

After a nail-biting contest, the team of Islamabad Model College for Girls (Post Graduate) F-10/2 stood first. The winners of first, second and third positions were given trophies, cash prizes and appreciation certificates.

The Chief Guest distributed the awards to the students. Speaking on the occasion, the Executive Director General, Information Service Academy Muhammad Arshad Munir congratulated the management of Information Service Academy for holding the absorbing and exciting Quiz Show.

He particularly praised the immense knowledge exhibited by students on the history of Pakistan Movement. ‘I felt great happiness on seeing our new generation remembering struggle of our forefathers and leaders for the creation of Pakistan,’ he remarked.

He said the new generation would be the builders of our future and their knowledge, skill and expertise would shape the destiny of this nation. He emphasized the importance of celebrating the Independence Day with great zeal and fervor.

‘Living nation always remember the sacrifices of leaders who contributed to the creation of their country,’ he added. In the end, the Chief Guest interacted with the students.

The Executive Director General of the ISA appreciated the participation of students and cooperation of FDE which made the organizing of the event possible.

He particularly thanked the ISA officers and staff who worked tirelessly to arrange the grand event in a short time. The event was concluded with the group photo of the participating students and ISA faculty with the Chief Guest.
