International Relations – Pakistan, Myanmar To Strengthen Cultural Cooperation

Pakistan and Myanmar today reached an agreement to bolster their cultural ties, focusing on the Gandhara civilization and projects involving local communities.

This understanding arose from a discussion between Syed Usman Tahir, Honorary Advisor to the Minister for National Heritage and Culture Division, and U Wunna Han, the Ambassador of Myanmar, in Islamabad.

Tahir informed the ambassador about Pakistan”s abundant cultural legacy and historical locations. Ambassador Han emphasized the opportunities for collaborative ventures to enrich the two nations” cultural relationship. The shared heritage of the Gandhara period is expected to be a key area of focus in the planned initiatives. Community involvement will play a vital role in strengthening the bonds between the two countries.
