Institutions performing duties as per constitution: Langove

QUETTA: Minister for Home and Tribal Affairs, Mir Ziaullah Langove said on Wednesday that all the institutions were performing duties in the light of the constitution.

These views were expressed by him while replying to an attention notice on the floor of assembly. “Whenever MPA Nasrullah Zairay feels thirst, he levels allegations against agencies and state’s institutions,” said Langove, adding that tax he talked about had been imposed during the reign of his government.

He said that the incumbent provincial government had removed all the check posts set up by the previous government. He remarked that it was the responsibility of government to provide security to all minorities, including Hindu community, adding that the government arrested some persons in connection with the murder of Hindu trader in Wadh area of Khuzdar and First Information Report was accordingly lodged against them, but, the accused were not recognized by the persons present at the site of incident during identification parade.

He said that two incidents against Hindu community, including kidnapping and subsequent murder of a girl in January, 2021, had been reported during the year 2021, adding that alleged accused involved in the murder of a girl were arrested on April 9.

He said that the Harnai incident occurred on July 27, adding that people must extend cooperation so that perpetrators involved in the incident of Harnai could be arrested. He said that the Additional Chief Secretary (Home), Home and Tribal Affairs Department had been directed to take special measures for maintaining law and order situation in District Harnai of Balochistan province.
