Initiation of Departmental Information Management System Training at Balochistan University

According to a statement from the University of Balochistan, the Faculty Training and Development Center and the DIT Department have launched a comprehensive training series at the University of Balochistan.

The goal is to equip faculty members, department heads, coordinators, and relevant administrative staff with expertise in the effective use of the Departmental Information Management System (DIMS).

These training sessions, held at the university, are led by the Director of DIT, Mr. Muhammad Salah Khan. Detailed information about the use of DIMS in educational and administrative processes is being provided in these sessions. This web-based system is designed to automate all phases of the semester system at the university.

Chairperson of FTDC, Dr. Shahida Habib Alizai, welcomed all participants and emphasized the importance of integrating digital technology in the university. She urged the participation of department heads, coordinators, and computer-literate administrative staff so they can train the rest of their department’s staff.

Mr. Muhammad Salah Khan gave a detailed presentation on DIMS to faculty members of the Faculty of Physical and Environmental Sciences. This presentation highlighted its use in managing students’ online results, data entry, and lists of numbers and names.

The training session schedule for all departments is as follows: April 22 for the Faculty of Biological, Pharmaceutical, and Health Sciences; April 23 for the Faculty of Management and Information Sciences; April 24 for the Faculty of Arts and Humanities; April 25 for the Faculty of Literature and Languages; and April 28 for the Faculty of Social Sciences. All sessions will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM in the DIT Smart Classroom, located in the basement of the main library.
