Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar led a media delegation, comprising both local and international journalists, to the Line of Control (LoC). The visit organized by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, was aimed at unveiling the ground realities and challenging India’s narrative.
During the visit, media representatives were taken to various sites that India has purportedly identified as terrorist hubs. The journalists were given the chance to interact with the local community and scrutinize the environment, allowing them to independently evaluate the authenticity of India’s assertions.
Addressing the media, Minister Tarar criticized India for its continued baseless accusations against Pakistan. He laid bare the facts, asserting that places India claims to be terrorist camps are, in truth, civilian territories. The Minister highlighted that Pakistan is a responsible nation, dedicated to both regional and global peace, and firmly opposes terrorism in any form.
Tarar reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to defend its sovereignty and urged India to address the human rights abuses in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He accused India of using propaganda at the LoC to deflect from its domestic issues, but emphasized that the international media now has witnessed the reality firsthand.
In closing, the Information Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to peace in the region, warning that any Indian aggression would be met with a prompt and resolute response.
