Info minister sees nexus between anti-state Balochis, Taliban

QUETTA: Caretaker Balochistan Information Minister Jan Achakzai said on Wednesday that the nexus between anti-state Balochis and Taliban had come to light.

Addressing a press conference in Balochistan Civil Secretariat, Achakzai said that Taliban terrorists had killed six barbers in Waziristan, adding that the blood of each Pakistani would be avenged.

He claimed that a shutterdown strike on the call of one so-called committee had been rejected by the people of Balochistan. He remarked: “Those who are involved in the May 9 incidents should not be permitted to contest elections.”

The information minister added that how level playing field was being demanded by those who attacked government installations on May 9. Achakzai said that cricketer Ahmed Shahzad would provide a roadmap to the cricketers of Balochistan for representation in the national cricket team.
