Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar along with a delegation of the government has held talks with Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) protesters, who are holding a sit-in at Liauqat Bagh, Rawalpindi.
According to a report on Saturday, talks were held in an amicable atmosphere following which the Jammat’s Amir Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman announced a negotiation committee, headed by Liaquat Baloch.
Both the sides agreed on table talk to address the JI’s demands. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister expressed hope that talks with Jamaat-e-Islami leadership will yield productive result.
