Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Murtaza Solangi, has clearly stated that the government did not use any kind of force against the Baloch demonstrators, and is committed to address their genuine concerns.

Speaking in an interview with a private TV channel, he clarified that the Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar did not speak against the supporters of the affected families, but rather signaled towards those who support terrorist organizations.

The Minister said that any new government must refrain from abusing its power, as it cannot sustain itself without ensuring the welfare of its citizens.

Murtaza Solangi said that the negotiating committee formed by the Prime Minister held extremely diplomatic talks with the protesters. He said that the protesters have assured that they will submit a list of their demands, which, as of now, has not been provided to the authorities.

The Information Minister said that on the first day of negotiations, all detained women and children were promptly rel
eased. He said that 163 more individuals were released two days later, followed by the release of the remaining 34 individuals.

He said security and ambulance facilities have been made available to the demonstrators, adding that none of the protesters are under detention at present.

About ongoing political situation, Murtaza Solangi said that there is no restriction on political activities in the country, and everyone has the right to participate in politics. However, he expressed concern that certain political groups may exploit the protesters for their own political gains.

About upcoming elections, he said the caretaker government will cooperate fully with the Election Commission of Pakistan to ensure peaceful, transparent, and unbiased elections across the country. He also refuted the possibility of elections being delayed and assured that the elections would take place on February 8 this year.
