According to the latest data from the Provincial Rain and Flood Emergency Monitoring Cell, the water outflow at various barrages in Sindh is quite high. The high volume of water flow is raising concerns about flood risks in low-lying areas.

Tarbela and Panjnad barrages are witnessing almost identical outflows, with both recording inflows and outflows of approximately 543,579 and 564,604 cubic feet per second (cusecs) respectively. This large volume of water passing through these key upstream locations indicates continued pressure on the river system.

Further downstream, Guddu Barrage recorded an inflow of 401,626 cusecs and an outflow of 380,896 cusecs. Sukkur Barrage has an inflow of 340,766 cusecs and an outflow of 311,666 cusecs.

Finally, Kotri Barrage, located near the river’s mouth, recorded an inflow of 236,116 cusecs and an outflow of 231,763 cusecs.
