Indian troops launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Udhampur district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to a Kashmir Media Service media service report today, the troops launched the operation in Basantgarh area of the district on Wednesday. The troops associated with the 1st Para of the Indian Army fired several bullets in Khandara Top area.
More Indian troops have been rushed to the forest area following what the officials claimed information about the presence of militants in the area.
Meanwhile, a man identified as Abdul Rahim Mir was killed, while his son Nazir Ahmed Mir was injured after an oil tanker hit the scooty they were riding in Pampore area of Pulwama district on Wednesday.
