Indian media’s coverage of occupied Jammu and Kashmir since August 2019 has been overtly partisan and misleading, focusing on spreading fabricated stories and falsehoods about the situation in the territory.

A report released by Kashmir Media Service today reveals that Indian media outlets, aligned with the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its ideological parent, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), have distorted the truth about Kashmiris’ struggle for self-determination.

This biased narrative aims to deflect attention from human rights abuses committed by Indian troops in IIOJK and misrepresent the reality on the ground. The report raises concerns about Indian media’s war-mongering and hateful rhetoric, which aligns with the Modi regime’s oppressive agenda in Kashmir.
