India Sponsoring Terrorism in Pakistan and Beyond: DG ISPR

Rawalpindi: Director General of ISPR Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has accused India of externalizing its internal problems by blaming Pakistan. During a briefing to foreign media in Rawalpindi, accompanied by representatives of the Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Navy, he emphasized that Kashmir is an internationally recognized disputed territory, which India is attempting to internalize.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Director General of ISPR highlighted India’s history of targeting innocent people for political objectives, subsequently blaming Pakistan, and covering up these actions by killing more innocent Kashmiris and Muslims while portraying them as terrorists. He cited the Pahalgam incident as an example, where India blamed Pakistan within minutes of its occurrence, without any investigation.

Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry presented video clips featuring Indian citizens, Kashmiris, Indian officials, retired military officers, and politicians, describing the Pahalgam incident as a security failure by the Indian government. He accused Indian media of fabricating stories to implicate Pakistan and alleged that India has suppressed independent media by banning thousands of X handles and restricting access to social media platforms within Pakistan to control the narrative.

He further alleged that India is actively sponsoring terrorism within Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan, and is involved in transnational killings worldwide, including in Canada. The Director General emphasized that Pakistan remains a bulwark against terrorism, not only for its people but globally, and accused India of attempting to disrupt Pakistan’s counterterrorism efforts, potentially leading to regional destabilization.

The DG ISPR criticized India’s shutdown of social media platforms, claiming it lacks the patience or moral courage to listen to dissenting voices. He condemned India’s unprovoked aggression, which has resulted in 33 civilian deaths, including children and women. Highlighting India’s attacks on mosques and the desecration of the Holy Quran, he labeled these acts as violations of international law.

Providing details on Indian attacks, the DG ISPR praised the Pakistan Air Force for its response, claiming the downing of five Indian aircraft, including Rafale jets and UAVs. He asserted that Pakistan is converting Indian weaponry to debris and will continue to do so. He stressed that Pakistan targets only military objectives, avoiding harm to innocent people, in line with its cultural and moral values.

Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb Ahmed of Pakistan Air Force briefed the media on Pakistan’s aerial response and exposed Indian media’s false narratives about Pakistani missiles. Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary concluded by stating that India’s actions, such as blaming Pakistan for Pahalgam, aim to distract from terrorism efforts, enabling proxies like Fitna al Khwarij and BLA to increase their activities.
