Former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s family alleged that Khan is being subjected to “inhuman treatment,” including torture and isolation, under the current administration.
A statement shared on X, formerly Twitter, by Khan’s son, Kasim Khan, paints a grim picture of the incarcerated leader’s plight. “Our father dedicated his life to this nation, sacrificing personal well-being and security to champion Pakistan’s prospects,” the statement reads. It continues, “Now, he is silenced, subjected to torment, confined, and entirely separated from us.”
The statement accused the current regime of illegally detaining and mistreating the former premier. It alleges grave human rights abuses are occurring in Pakistan, with Khan being denied even fundamental incarceration rights. The younger Khan emphasized the sacrifices his father made for the nation, contrasting it with his current predicament
