Imran Khan gets relief from IHC in Toshakhana case

ISLAMABAD:The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday issued a stay order on the criminal proceedings against PTI Chairman Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case.

The stay order will remain effective till next hearing of the case on June 8. Imran Khan was indicted in the Toshakhana case on May 10 by the Additional Sessions Judge, Islamabad Humayun Dilawar.

The IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq heard Imran Khan’s petition against the Additional Sessions Judge’s order of indictment and restrained the Additional Sessions Judge from further proceedings.

A complaint seeking proceedings under criminal law for not disclosing information pertaining to the gifts the former Prime Minister Imran Khan received during his time in office, was filed by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
