International Monetary Fund (IMF) has termed discussions with Pakistani authorities as constructive.

In a statement issued after talks in Islamabad, Head of IMF Mission Nathan Porter welcomed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s commitment to implement policies needed to safeguard macroeconomic stability.

The Head of IMF Mission said considerable progress was made on policy measures to address domestic and external imbalances.

Nathan Porter said virtual discussions will continue in the coming days to finalize the implementation details of the policies agreed with Pakistan.
