A delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), headed by Jihad Azour, met with President Asif Ali Zardari in Islamabad on Friday to discuss Pakistan”s economic trajectory. Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, and senior officials were also present during the meeting.
President Zardari commended the ongoing IMF programme, highlighting its role in bringing economic stability to the nation. He stressed that the programme is expected to further enhance economic growth in Pakistan, acknowledging the IMF’s significance in supporting economic development in emerging markets.
The IMF delegation voiced its satisfaction with the economic reforms underway in Pakistan, noting that the IMF programme is advancing as planned.
