In Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Muttahida Majlis-e-Ulema Jammu and Kashmir has expressed deep concern over attempts being made by the Indian government to weaken the Muslim identity in the valley of saints i.e. Kashmir.

In their meeting held at Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, the leading Ulema lamented that Muslim students are being compelled in educational institutions to sing Bhajan and do Surya Namaskar which hurt the Muslim sentiments.

The meeting asked the puppet State Government, Education Department, and concerned agencies that such activities will not be tolerated by the Muslims in Kashmir as it is a direct challenge to their religious and Islamic beliefs.
