ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday ordered the immediate release of senior PTI leader and former federal minister Shireen Mazari.

IHC’s Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb annulled the district magistrate’s order regarding Ms Mazari’s arrest. The judge also remarked that the district commissioner’s order was not in line with the judgements of the higher courts.

Yasmin Rashid moved to hospital from jail once again

Former Punjab minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Dr Yasmin Rashid was once again moved from Kot Lakhpat Jail to Services Hospital in Lahore due to ill health, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

She was brought to the hospital from the jail late at night. Two days ago, she had been brought to the hospital due to difficulty in breathing. According to the doctors, the cause of Dr Yasmin Rashid’s ill health was chest infection. She was undergoing treatment in the VIP ward of the hospital.

The doctors once again prescribed various tests including a CT scan. The cause of the illness will be fully diagnosed in light of the reports of the CT scan and other medical tests. A police contingent was present outside the VIP ward.
