IHC decides to initiate contempt of court’s proceedings against Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday decided to initiate contempt of court proceedings against PTI chief Imran Khan for his threatening remarks against female additional sessions judge Zeba Chaudhary.

The court has constituted a larger bench in this regard that will hear the case tomorrow (Tuesday). All judges of the Islamabad High Court unanimously decided after consultation, to initiate the contempt proceeding. The larger bench comprises Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, Justice Babar Sattar and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb. The decision to issue the contempt of court notice by IHC was taken in response to the registrar’s note.
