KARACHI: Inspector General of Police Sindh, Riffat Mukhtar Raja, presided over a meeting on Wednesday to discuss the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) pertaining to the recognition and reward for investigation officers of the Sindh Police.
The meeting delved into the proposed SOPs, meticulously reviewing the mechanism for awarding rewards and certificates to investigation officers who demonstrate exceptional skills and experience in successfully handling all stages of case investigations, focusing on ensuring exemplary punishments for accused individuals as mandated by the respective courts.
The DIGP Admin Karachi, presenting the proposed SOP, informed the meeting that recommendations for rewards were made based on the investigation of cases and the duration of sentences handed down by the courts upon successful case conclusions.
DIGPs Finance, Admin Karachi, Investigation Karachi, Crime and Investigation Sindh, along with AIGPs of Finance, Admin, and Operation Sindh attended the meeting.
IG Sindh Riffat Mukhtar Raja directed the meeting participants, highlighting that the introduction of SOPs for Departmental Rewards and Certificates aimed to acknowledge the dedication and efforts of investigation officers. These officers, through their committed work, ensure justice at all stages of the legal process, leading to the exemplary punishment of accused individuals involved in various crimes.
The IG instructed the swift submission of comprehensive recommendations outlining actionable measures for the implementation of the proposed SOP.
