DADU: A huge gas reserve has been discovered in Dadu district where the trial extraction of gas is 33.3 million cubic feet per day, the petroleum ministry sources said on Tuesday. The discovery of the gas reserve was made possible by the joint venture of the government and private companies in Sukhpur Block of Kirthar Fold.

Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Sohail Wajahat Hussain Siddiqui termed the discovery of gas good news for the nation. “The gas discovery is a major development in meeting Pakistan’s energy needs,” he said.
