Hot weather expected across Pakistan

Pakistan Meteorological Department said on Saturday that weak monsoon currents from Arabian Sea are penetrating central-upper parts of the country whiel a trough of westerly wave is affecting upper parts of the country and likely to affect western and southern parts from tonight.

Monday weather: Mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-thundershower associated with windstorm-gusty winds is likely at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, south Punjab, northeast-south Balochistan, southeast Sindh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

Tuesday weather: Mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-thundershower associated with windstorm/gusty winds is likely at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Potohar region, Islamabad, south Punjab, northeast/south Balochistan, southeast Sindh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

Past 24 Hours Weather: Hot and humid weather prevailed over most parts of the country. However, rain-windstorm/thundershower occurred at isolated places in northeast Balochistan, Kashmir, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Rainfall(mm): Balochistan: Zhob 20, Kashmir: Rawalakot 06, Garhidupatta 01, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Mirkhani 05, Drosh 03, Dir(upper) 02, Chitral, Kalam 01, Gilgit-Baltistan: Gupis 04, Bagrote 03, Gilgit and Bunji 01.

Yesterday’s Recorded Highest Maximum Temperatures (°C): Turbat, Dadu 44, Jacobabad and Dalbandin 43.
