Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar on Sunday issued directives to the Sindh Police to ensure the implementation of the Eid-ul-Azha security plan.
In a statement, he said that the Eid-ul-Azha security plan included establishing a central command and control center at the Central Police Office to monitor and respond to potential security threats, deploying surveillance teams in plain clothes at shopping centers, public places, cattle markets, and prayer venues
Besides this, the plan also seeks identifying and categorizing all mosques, imambargahs, eidgahs, and open places for Eid prayers, ensuring of the deployment of police commandos and personnel at these locations, eestablishing wireless control rooms at zonal, district, and police station levels to coordinate security efforts, and implementing a comprehensive security plan to prevent potential security threats and ensure peace and order during Eid-al-Adha, said Mr Lanjar
The home minister emphasized the need for close coordination and cooperation among all stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies, religious leaders, and the public, to ensure a peaceful and secure Eid-al-Adha.
