History – Korean Experts To Help Develop World-Class Gandhara Museum In Islamabad

Islamabad is set to house a world-class Gandhara museum, thanks to a collaboration with Korean heritage specialists. Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa chaired a meeting with the experts and officials from the Ministry of Culture and Heritage on Tuesday to discuss the project.

CDA members from various wings, including Engineering, Environment, and Planning and Design, also attended the meeting. The Korean team recently completed a state-of-the-art heritage gallery within the existing museum, earning public acclaim.

Chairman Randhawa commended the team’s accomplishments and reiterated the CDA’s dedication to modernizing the Gandhara Heritage and Cultural Centre. He requested proposals incorporating cutting-edge technology, video galleries, and aesthetic improvements for the new museum.

The Korean delegation will visit the Gandhara Heritage and Cultural Centre to formulate site-specific recommendations. Randhawa stressed the importance of leveraging the Korean team’s expertise to create a Gandhara Museum meeting global standards.
