A high-level delegation, representing the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Investment Promotion of Oman visited Pakistan.
The delegation was headed by Undersecretary of Investment Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion Ibtisam Al Farooji, who was accompanied by members representing various public and private sectors.
According to a Radio Pakistan’s report, the visitors were given a detailed briefing at the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) about the investment possibilities in various sectors and the steps taken by the government to improve the overall investment environment in the country.
The delegation held Government-to-Government and Business-to-Business meetings and discussed key projects in Pakistan through SIFC and the Ministry of Commerce.
The Omani delegation engaged with the Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Trade, and private companies to explore trade and investment opportunities in Pakistan.
During the visit of Green Pakistan Initiative working under SIFC, the delegation expressed keen interest in the latest Land Information and Management System and other projects.
The delegation expressed full confidence in SIFC’s initiatives and expressed willingness to explore more investment opportunities in Pakistan under the Government-to-Government and Business-to-Business framework.
The inaugural visit of the Omani delegation provided an excellent opportunity for the business communities of both sides to explore opportunities for networking and collaboration.
The visit will help promote bilateral cooperation to open more avenues of economic cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
