The weather is forecasted to be hot and dry in most parts of the country on Tuesday. However, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy with chances of thunderstorms and rain in Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, upper and southern regions of Punjab, northeastern Balochistan, and GilgitBaltistan.
The last 24 hours saw intense heat in various parts of the country. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature was recorded at 46 degrees Celsius in Mithi, while Jacobabad, Dalbandin, Badin, and Chor recorded 45 degrees Celsius.
In Islamabad and surrounding areas, the weather will be partly cloudy during the day, with chances of thunderstorms and rain in the evening or night. Some places might also experience heavy rain or hailstorms.
In Balochistan, Quetta, Zhob, Musa Khel, Sibi, and other districts are expected to experience strong and dusty winds along with rain.
In Punjab, rain is forecasted in Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and other locations during the evening or night.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Peshawar, Abbottabad, and other districts are also expected to have partly cloudy weather and rain. Strong winds and rain are expected in GilgitBaltistan and Kashmir.
According to the forecast issued by the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the heatwave will continue in most parts of the country, while rain in some places is expected to bring a decrease in temperature.
