Quetta: Bashir Khan, Chairman, Huq Do Tehreek (HDT), Quetta and Hafiz Rehmatullah Nurzai, Senior Deputy Chairman, have demanded of the authorities to provide relief goods to the rain and flood affected families of Pushtunabad, Quetta and its adjacent areas besides compensating the losses.
In a joint statement issued here on Friday, they said that the authorities of district administration Quetta had already been informed in black and white about the damages caused by recent floods in different areas of Pushtunabad, but neither any kind of relief goods had so far been provided to the flood affectees nor had survey of the affected areas had been carried out.
They called on Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, Chief Secretary Balochistan, Abdul Aziz Uqaili and other concerned authorities to provide relief gears to the rain and flood affected families besides compensating the losses. He said that if the rain and flood affected families of Pushtunabad and its surrounding areas were not compensated, HDT, Quetta would launch protest movement.
