Haleem demands immediate release of Imran

PTI Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh, addressing a press conference at the residence of PTI leader Aziz Abro in Sukkur, stated that even a single glimpse of Imran Khan causes panic among opponents.

He emphasized that the entire nation demands the immediate release of Imran Khan, who has been unjustly imprisoned on false charges. Sheikh also called for the release of all PTI leaders, workers, and the restoration of the party’s stolen mandate. He warned that the nation would not tolerate the destruction of the country’s economy, which is facing rising inflation according to IMF reports. Sheikh asserted that PTI is the only party capable of governing the country effectively.

Sheikh accused Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar of defrauding Punjab farmers, labeling him a white-collar criminal involved in over Rs. 100 billion worth of corruption in wheat procurement. He criticized the government for failing to purchase wheat from local farmers at reasonable prices, while also condemning the political favoritism in distributing wheat sacks in Sindh.

Sheikh announced his plans to strengthen PTI’s organizational structure across Sindh, with a focus on the block code level. He mentioned his recent meeting with Imran Khan and plans for a province-wide tour following Khan’s release. Sheikh lambasted the PPP for the deplorable state of governance in Sindh, depriving citizens of basic amenities, and expressed confidence that PTI would establish its government in Sindh, similar to other parts of the country.

He issued a stern warning that if Imran Khan is not released, PTI would mobilize the entire nation. Sheikh expressed hope that the judiciary would deliver justice. Highlighting a recent incident, he mentioned the abduction of a seven-year-old boy, Muhammad Hussain Arain, in Pano Aqil, criticizing the rising trend of kidnappings in Sindh. Sheikh accused the Sindh government of failing to curb criminal activities, allowing bandits to operate with impunity, and claimed that over 1,900 people had been kidnapped in the last 14 months.

Sheikh further alleged that local politicians were complicit in criminal activities to fund their election expenses, asserting that the real culprits are sitting in the assembly and the Sindh cabinet. He narrated his observations from recent visits to Ghotki, Guddu Barrage, Kashmore, and Shikarpur, where he noted that roads were blocked after 8 PM to protect against bandit attacks.

Sheikh criticized the corruption involved in constructing and demolishing barriers meant to protect against bandit attacks, accusing officials of making millions in both processes. He expressed concerns about the monitoring of judiciary judges and claimed interference in judicial matters, calling for the liberation of the judiciary to ensure justice.

Sheikh demanded that jobs in Sindh be given to locals without bribery and pointed out the lack of basic amenities as a reason for people resorting to criminal activities.

He dismissed any notion of factionalism within PTI, stating that the party is united and committed to visiting every worker’s home to strengthen the organization. Sheikh concluded by criticizing the police for focusing on PTI workers instead of actual criminals and questioned the progress in the investigation of journalist Jan Muhammad Mahar’s murder.
