Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo has approved the status of Special Economic District to Gwadar with the aim to promote foreign investment, tourism, port related activities and development of the city.

The Special Economic District will provide an investor friendly environment to the foreign investors while offering incentives like exemption of provincial and federal taxes for industrial activities and concession in visa policy.
