PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Monday said the provincial government would run Shelter Homes from its own resources.

Presiding over a meeting in Peshawar, he said the provincial government would provide all needed resources to these shelter homes on priority basis. The Chief Minister directed the concerned authorities to make amendments in pertinent laws for running these shelter homes on permanent basis.

The meeting was informed that currently ten shelter homes are functional in the province, that are being run with the province’s own resources having the capacity of five hundred individuals in total.
