Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi says the government will defeat the opposition in a constitutional, legal and political manner.

In a statement, he said Imran Khan is an elected Prime Minister, who has been given a heavy mandate by the people of Pakistan.

The Foreign Minister said the opposition has a constitutional right to bring a no-trust motion and the government will fight back effectively.

He said the opposition parties, which do not have same manifesto and even do not trust each other, are just striving for their protection and political survival.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf members of parliament, who had any reservations, have been contacted.

He expressed the belief that all party members will take the right decision and support Prime Minister Imran Khan in his decisions.
