Govt doors are open for talks on missing persons issue: home minister

Minister for Home, Mir Ziaullah Langove, said on Saturday that the doors of government were open for negotiations on all issues, including the missing persons’ issue.

These views were expressed by him while chairing a high level meeting held here regarding law and order situation. Langove said that political government had never denied dialogue and negotiations, adding that the government was demonstrating seriousness from the outset of protest.

He said it was strange that masked men outnumbered other participants of protest. He said maintaining law and order situation had been prioritised by the government and no one would be permitted to take the law into their hands.

Briefing participants of the meeting, Inspector General of Police Balochistan, Abdul Khaliq Sheikh and Commissioner Quetta Division, Hamza Shafqaat said that protestors took law into their hands by damaging CCTV cameras and police vehicles, adding that Zaheer Zaib was neither in the custody of any government institutions nor with Counter Terrorism Department-CTD.
