Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori extended a warm welcome to Dr Salah Al Budair, the Imam of Masjid Nabawi, upon his arrival at the Governor Sindh House in Islamabad. Saudi Ambassador Nawaf Bin Saeed Al Malkiy was also present at the occasion.
During the visit, the Imam offered special prayers for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan at the request of the Governor. Addressing the media afterwards, Governor Sindh expressed gratitude to the Imam for his visit and highlighted the expected positive impact on Pakistan’s issues.
In response to a question, Governor Sindh remarked, “Positions are transient. It is important to do something memorable for people.” He added that today, 50,000 young individuals are completing IT courses at the Governor House, with some now earning between 300 to 600 dollars monthly. He emphasized that the Governor House is now open to the public, and the doors are welcoming ordinary people.
Tessori noted that 80,000 youths from Hyderabad had taken tests for IT courses, and an IT university will soon be established there. He assured that as long as he remains in office, he will continue his service to the public and does not seek to secure his position indefinitely.
Furthermore, the Governor Sindh announced that the Independence Day celebration at the Governor House on August 14 is expected to see participation from one million people. The event will feature performances by renowned artists including Atif Aslam, Rahat Fateh Ali, Abida Parveen, and Ali Zafar. He also mentioned ongoing initiatives such as ration drives, distribution of motorcycles and laptops, and public iftar events during Ramadan at the Governor House.
