A special convocation of Baqai Medical University was held at Governor House under the chairmanship of Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori.

Consul Generals, Vice Chancellors of different countries, well-known industrialists, businessmen, elders of the city and others also participated in the ceremony. The Sindh governor awarded doctorate degrees to important personalities for outstanding services.

Mr Tesori was presented with an honorary doctorate degree of the Mehmood Kaat International University Niger by the Rector of the University, Dr Ibrahim. Tessori awarded Gold Medal to Pakistan Ambassador to Niger Dr Ahmed Ali Sirohi for promoting the image of Pakistan in Niger through public and economic diplomacy despite limited resources.

The Sindh governor also presented honorary doctorate degrees to prominent industrialists and businessmen Rehan Mehtab Chawla and Malik Shehbaz for their outstanding performance in the field of business and exports while Consul General of Turkey Cemal Sangu, Consul General of Qatar Nayef Shahein RM. Sulaiti were alson presented degrees for best diplomacy.

On this occasion, Tessori and Baqai Medical University Chancellor Dr Shoaib Baqai awarded gold medals to other prominent personalities in recognition of their performance. The Governor of Sindh while congratulating all the persons who received the honorary degree, expressed hope that they would continue their services in the future as well.
